I loved reading this story about your restoration etc. I was a very easy read and well thought out with side stories etc.
I also loved the car, I wish I lived nearby and could visit or help you work on one of your projects.

    Thanks

I have a 1959 Buick Electra 225 convertible just like yours and would like to get it restored and working again so it can be lightly driven and enjoyed. Problem is, I kind of don’t even know where to start and was hoping I could talk (or email) you about how to get this process started and what kinds of costs were involved. If you could email me back or leave me your phone number so I can call you, I’d certainly appreciate it.

    Many thanks,

    Another soon-to-be-fine 1959!

Growing up in Methuen, MA my elderly neighbor Mr. Jack Voter had a Grey 59 Buick. I think it was a four door. I very much enjoyed reading your blog about the restoration, and as a history major I appreciate your attempts to prove whether or not your car is THE 1959 Pace car. I bet it is, since so few were made. You make a strong and well researched circumstantial case! As an English minor, I appreciate your folksy yet 100% grammatically correct writing style. You should try to publish in paying venues. The story of the 59 is an “evergreen” as well. Best of luck to you and thanks for the good read.
